CONTINENTAL GT A

CONTINENTAL GT A

Overview

The Continental GT A is the ideal choice for those who demand a little extra luxury, when compared to the Continental GT model. It is powered by the same 4.0 litre V8 engine, offering you a thrilling drive on the open road, but it also features a number of additional luxury features that make travelling in this car an experience like no other.

Whether you plan to hit the road for an exhilarating grand tour or you simply need to travel through town in style, the Continental GT A is a truly wonderful car.

Design

The Continental GT A can be immediately identified by its ‘A’ fender badges, however if you see it from the front, it will be the vertical-vaned chrome front grille, with black lower bumper grilles below it, that catches your eye. Its 21” wheels feature ten spokes with a combination of bright-machined and grey-painted faces.

When you get into the car, you will see ‘A’ emblems on the treadplates, the fascia and the seats. The entire cabin is flooded with light, thanks to a panoramic glass roof. Moving onto the seating, it is upholstered in fluted leather, although if you prefer an even more luxurious treatment, this can be upgraded to Bentley’s Harmony Diamond Quilting.

Bentley is introducing more sustainable materials and finishes into its cars – and you can see that here in the recycled Nylon carpets and deep-pile wool overmats, as well as an open pore finish on the Crown Cut Walnut veneers, which uses less lacquer than high-gloss options.

Performance

Every Continental GT is built for the open road, and the Continental GT A is no exception. Its twin-turbocharged, 4.0 litre V8 engine gives it incredible power, alongside the famously thrilling V8 roar.

It produces 542 bhp (550 PS), enabling the car to accelerate from 0-60 mph in 3.9 seconds (0-100 km/h in 4.0 seconds) and reach a top speed of 198 mph (318 km/h)*.

As an option, you can add two ingenious chassis systems, that make driving even easier and more enjoyable.

Bentley Dynamic Ride is an anti-roll system that holds the car stable through corners, without compromising on its ride comfort when cruising in a straight line.

All-wheel steering enables the rear wheels to aid with steering. At low speeds, they steer in the opposite direction to the front wheels, resulting in a smaller turning circle. And when driving at high speed, they turn the same way as the front wheels, resulting in smoother lane changes.

Technology

The Continental GT A comes with the Front Seat Comfort Specification. This gives the driver and the front seat passenger adjustable headrests, cushions and side bolsters, as well as heating, ventilation and massage functions.

Everyone in the car will benefit from the multi-zone air conditioning system, and an air ioniser, to keep the atmosphere in the cabin fresh.

Meanwhile, for the driver, the graphics in the instrument panel have been designed to reflect the comfort-focused character of the car. The optional Bentley Rotating display offers a choice three different panels in the centre of the fascia: the standard touchscreen, a veneered panel with three analogue gauges and a veneered panel with no instruments at all.

In addition, the Touring Specification is an optional set of driver assistance systems for longer journeys, including adaptive cruise control, a head-up display, night vision and a number of additional safety systems.

Personalisation

You can choose from seven standard exterior colours for the Continental GT A.

There are many more options available, however. With Bentley’s Extended Range and Mulliner Paints – which includes the dazzling new Topaz Blue – you have a total choice of over 80 colours.

You can opt to add the Blackline Specification, which turns most of the chrome exterior details black, while the Styling Specification adds a carbon fibre bodykit. Both of these packages lend the car a sleeker, more sporting appearance.

Inside, there is a huge range of hide colours and carpet colours to choose from, as well as alternative veneer finishes. Other options include LED Welcome Lamps and a choice of three sound systems. The Bentley Signature Audio system is installed as standard, though you can also opt for the Bang and Olufsen for Bentley system or the Naim for Bentley system.

This is all just the start, however. To discuss your personalisation options in detail, please contact us here at Bentley Brisbane today.
